Before I even started school, I first wanted to become an actor and later a lawyer. I wanted to be like my heroes – fighting for justice with swords and words.
But instead of finding me in a courtroom or on the cinema screen, like many others, you will find me on the Internet. I was fascinated by the Internet from an early age. The first time I heard about it was in 1993, from a computer science student who called himself Momo. One summer evening, he told me that he was checking his emails and explained to me what this Internet thing was. I was sixteen at the time, and there was not yet a browser with which one could surf the Internet.
And yet, alongside my typewriter, this Internet was to become my second home, where I would spend at least as much time as I did in the lecture halls of the university during my various studies.
Because in the end, the Internet is nothing other than a place full of stories, woven from hypertext.
